    FOLEY DAY HOLIDAY CHANGE
    Effective with the 2011 Agreement between Allegheny Ludlum and USW Local 1138, the Foley Day Holiday (March 25th) has been permanently changed to Veterans Day (November 11th)

    VLO - VOLUNTARY LAYOFF
    HEALTH CARE COVERAGE
    UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION

    VOLUNTARY LAYOFF

    • Voluntary Layoff is in effect for production employees desiring to take it. At present you must be displaced from your incumbent position to a Job Class 1 position to be eligible for VLO
    • S.U.B. is being paid while on VLO. Payments are automatically handled through the company Employment Office - no sign up is required
    • S&A - If you cease work because of a layoff, your sickness and accident coverage will terminate on the date you cease work.

    HEALTH CARE COVERAGE

    • Less than two years of continuous service on the date you cease work, your coverage will terminate at the end of the month in which you last worked.
    • Two but less than ten years of continuous service on the date you cease work, your remaining coverage will be continued during such layoff up to a maximum of six months from the end of the month in which you last worked.
    • Ten but less than 20 years of continuous service, a maximum of 12 months from the end of the month in which you last worked.
    • Twenty or more years of continuous service, coverage will be continued for two (2) years from the month in which you last worked.

    UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION
